I found this chart on Baby Center. I always find these milestones charts amusing. I highlighted all of the things on here that Jackson does. I think a lot of new parents worry when their child isn't doing something they "should" be doing. The fact is, all kids are different. Not only do they learn to do things at different ages, but they learn differently. You can't compare at all.

Jackson does some things, that apparently he should learn in 6 months, but doesn't do other things that  he should already be doing. He has said a few words, "Mama" ,"Dada" ,"Duck" ,"No", "Bye bye", "Uh Oh" and "Up". Right now he is in a phase where he isn't really using any words. He is too busy learning other things. He has learned to climb down stairs, climb up on things like the couch, stack toys, (tries to) brush his teeth, and tries to use the door handle. He also LOVES to copy. Mostly sounds and gestures, words not so much. Today he discovered that he can feed me. Which makes feeding him even harder, not only is he picky, but anything i do give him he just wants to feed mommy. Oi.

I think charts like this are great as a guideline only, you know your child best, and a mothers intuition  will tell her if something isn't right.
