Why do they make baby shorts so long? They look like pants.
Jackson is 32 inches tall and weighs a whopping 27lbs. I was really surprised, i thought most kids slowed in weight gain in their second year. At this rate he'll be the size (or at least weight!) of a three year old by Christmas! He is currently wear 18 month clothes.
Jackson Loves:
Food: Oatmeal, Toast with avocado, cheese, omelette's, crackers, pb& j, sweet potato, broccoli, bananas, apples, oranges, raisins, and milk.
Toys: Cars, trucks, books, mega blocks, sandboxes, and his water table. Boy oh boy, what a boy!
Stuff: Hugs and kisses, rides in his wagon, playing outside, his puppy and kitty.
Jackson Hates:
Food: Meat, Most vegetables, rice, pasta
Fruit: Fruit cocktail, berries of any kind.
Other: Having his face washed, and diaper changes.
He's started saying more and more words, and is really learning how to show us what he wants. He says; yes,no,dog,mama,daddy,get,woah!, and makes various sounds to let us know he wants something (i know there are other words, but i can't think of them right now). He loves to read, we probably read 6-10 books (board books) a day. He can identify his belly button, shoes, and babies and dogs in pictures. He's also started using a fork and spoon, about 50% of the time. (Side note: he learned about throwing things in the toilet this week. Starting with my blackberry. ugh)
This is my favorite stage so far. He is happy most of the time, able to identify what he wants without getting too frustrated, he can play alone for periods of time, and is the cuddliest little man!
Although, i suspect the next stage will be my favorite too!
I love this sweet baby boy more and more each day. (I will continue to call him my baby boy until he is at least 2!)
