Love
Love LOVE this pillow by Nate. Too bad it's $40. I know most people would spend that much on a throw pillow. I won't. I do hope to make one someday.

I love little reminders like this. We have a giant chalkboard wall just outside of our bedroom, i often write myself little life reminders. I don't care if it's cheesy, if it reminds me to be a better person.
These shoes. Roxy Lido cruisers. Love them. They will be mine! Lucky for me, a shoe store in town has them, for the same price as the Roxy website. Saweeeet!
Also, really loving knee high socks and boots. In a couple weeks it will be the perfect time of year for this in Canada. We want to pull out the spring dresses, but it's still to dang cold.
On the topic of shoes and boots, it's going to be a rainy season very soon around these parts. I would absolutely die if i could have a pair of these boots. At $115 they're not in my budget. I'll likely get some Gt Boutique specials.
Happy almost weekend!

Chili Willy
Last weekend we attended Brantford's annual, Chili Willy cook off. The chili was AH-MA-ZING! However, out door events like this are pretty hard with a little one, that is less than impressed with the cold. He's been a little "off" for a few days (You know when you can't put them down, and all they want is snuggles and sleep. I don't know why, but babies always have random periods where they throw their parents for a loop.)
We toughed it out, and ate a bunch of yummy chili. The chef's was the best. (her real life name is Jasmine) They didn't quite win, but coming in second by one vote, is a win in my books. It will be really great next year, we may even be able to get Jackson on the ice (they have a free skate for kids there), and Jackson may actually like to eat meat by then. Maybe....i hope!?!? (ANY tips for kids who hate meat? Our doc advised against chicken fingers, nuggets, bacon or sandwich meat, because of the obvious unhealthiness of it.)
Mr. H is the resident chili maker in our house. Now the pressure is on for him to make a chili that can match the awesomeness we tasted this weekend! We've never really tried to do anything different with our chili. Now i'm stoked to try one out with some pulled pork, and some sweetness. Or, to have Marcus try it out that is!
Happy Hump Day!
