Attacking Breastfeeding Mom's for Giving an Opinion!?!

Is it wrong for mommy bloggers to give an honest opinion and review of  a product, even though they are compensated? (The article fails to tell you that not all of the reviews of the app were positive, so obviously, reviewers are being honest)
There are also a lot of negative comments on this article, attacking mothers who use the iphone app. Clearly, the man making these comments, doesn't know that most doctors/hospitals, ask breastfeeding, or formula feeding mothers to track the baby's food intake, and diaper changes for a few days after the baby is born. Why not use an iphone app for it? Because an evil formula company made it? WHO CARES! (I DO NOT think formula, or formula companies are evil, this just seems to be the tone of the article, in my opinion. I am pro baby feeding. Whatever way you chose to feed them. COOL!) If it works well, and helps a new mom track her breastfeeding session, AWESOME. I did track my breastfeeding sessions when Jackson was first born, as well as his diaper changes, and sleeping. I probably won't with my next baby, but as a first time mother, i was of course going to do things the way i was instructed by my doctor.
I think it's great that more companies are having real moms test and review their products. Most new mothers turn to other mothers for advice. From what brand of diapers to try, which bouncy chair is the best, and even breastfeeding advice and support. Yes, a lot of the time they are compensated. Again, i say, SO WHAT!? Do they not deserve the compensation? I truly believe most mom's reviewing products are honest. Of course there may be some that aren't. There will always be bad seeds, and i don't think everyone should be painted with the same brush.

I'm a little disturbed that these parents think it's CUTE that their child is angry over receiving books for Christmas. They're really teaching him to be greatfull to receive ANY gifts for Christmas. Sad sad sad.

I am so having one of those days.There are so many aspects in my life right now where i feel like i'm banging my head against a wall. 
Do you ever feel like you've said something a million times,  and your just not getting through?
I always say, you only have one life, make it a good one. Why i don't take my own advice is beyond me... 
Thank god for this little poo face today. He's the only thing in the world thats always awesome.

My Yard This Morning

The city is redoing the water mains in town. Our road has been under construction since, oh about June. This has only been inconvenient about 96% of the time.


This was my yard this morning.

Apparently they can turn your water off without warning. 

At least the workers are enjoying some delicious ritz crackers.


Things i would liked to have used water for today:


-Rinsing the soap off of the laundry that is currently sitting in the washing machine.
-Drinking (ya know, to avoid dehydration)
-Flushing the toilet
-Showering
-Washing my hands after using said toilet
-Wetting a cloth to wipe down Jackson's face and high chair after he "feeds" himself
-Washing my hands after changing his poopsplosion diaper
-Giving my pets some water (so they can avoid dehydration)
-Brushing my teeth
-Washing my face


Not that i need water for anything important though.


I'm not annoyed. Not Annoyed in the least. I like my road being torn up for months on end. I like giant holes in my front lawn, that probably won't be repaired by the town because they're jerks. I like a giant machine waking my baby up from his naps. I loooove being out of toilet paper, and not being able to drive to the store, because my road is torn up. Maybe i can walk...carrying my baby...because i don't have an off road stroller to drive over the giant piles of dirt and asphalt that are ON THE SIDEWALK.


Gotta go change another poop diaper, than god for baby wipes, because that's all we've got to clean up with.

If Breastfeeding Offends You, Put A Blanket Over YOUR Head!

I had to share a link to this blog post today at Becoming Sarah. It makes my blood boil when women are made to feel uncomfortable, or worse, made to leave a store or restaurant for breastfeeding. Even in Ontario, where our right to breastfeed is protected by law, this still happens. It is one of those things that makes me sick. Thankfully this has never happened to me, or someone would be getting a punch in the nose (I know i know, violence is never the answer) I think the idea of a nurse-in is fabulous. Peaceful protest is the way to go. Lets see the a*#holes at these places try and make a dozen breastfeeding mothers leave.

If you are opposed to breastfeeding in public, let me ask you, would it be OK for me to ask YOU to go and eat in the bathroom, or cover your self up with a blanket, if i thought what you were eating was gross?

I'd love you hear comments on this subject. If you are opposed, comment still. Maybe there is a valid reason to be opposed...i can't think of one myself.

Things That Make me Want to Punch Something

Not a nursing picture, but post nursing. i wouldn't want to offend anyone!

Through a google search i found a number of incidents where women were asked to leave McDonalds restaurants for breastfeeding. Why are people such idiots? 

Restauraunt owners should be capable of educating their staff, not only is breastfeeding one of the most natural things in the world, and they best nutrition for your baby, IT IS LAW that women can do it wherever they need to.
